The ethos of Battleship HD is familiar, but there are a few innovative features. Players have, for example, a whole arsenal of weapons at their disposal when hunting the enemy fleet, while there is a ranking system through which the user can progress to admiral. What lets this game down, however, is its lack of sound effects and live-action graphics. In a sense, then, Battleship HD is both a hit and a miss.
